Keeping up with Murray Utah

Murray Utah was settled in 1848 just after the Mormon pioneers arrived, and became a city in 1903.  Population has reached 45,732 with the number of homes in Murray reaching 15,968.  Close to one-third of the population rents and the median income is close to $53,084.  A few of the businesses in Murray are OCM and Innovations International.  Outlying cities include Midvale, Cottonwood West, East Millcreek, South Salt Lake, Taylorsville, Millcreek, Holladay, and Cottonwood Heights.

Utah real estate market conditions have improved in some areas and worsened in others.  Real estate in Murray is on a downward trend and had decreases in both the number of homes sold and the price they were sold at.

Throughout the year, the city will receive around 19 inches of rain and 52 inches of snow.  Summer high averages around 92 and the winter months will average a low of around 19.  During leisure time, many locals play a round at the Murray Parkway Golf Course, relax at one of the parks, or participate in one of several community events held during the year.  Plays, bands and festivals are the main source of entertainment at the amphitheater in the summer.  When the weather cools down, events are mostly held at local schools.  To find out more about the history and development of the city, the museum is a great place to go.  The Murray community gets together each year for an Easter egg hunt, Haunted Trail in the park, and the 4th of July Fun Days.
